Holton Harris and David Madar
Holton Harris
Holton Harris received his Bachelor's and master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from MIT, where he was for a time a member of the staff, working on one of the early guided missile projects. After stints in the Industrial Control Department of the General Electric Company, at a manufacturer of timing devices, and at the then-leading manufacturer of analog computers in the U.S., he became President of Harrel, Incorporated, specializing in closed loop control and high technology plastics extrusion systems.
Mr. Harris is the holder of 12 patents in the process field and has taught in extension courses at RPI, at NYU, and at Drexel University. He contributed the instrumentation section to the "Blow Molding Handbook" and is the author of numerous papers in the Extrusion field. He has recently authored a new book "Extrusion Control", 2004, published by Hanser Verlag and distributed in the USA by Hanser Gardner Publications.
Mr. Harris is a senior member of the SPE, of the Instrument Society of America, and of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
Mr. David Madar
Mr. David Madar received his Associate's degree from Norwalk State Technical College. He has been Director of Operations at Harrel, Incorporated since 1977. He is responsible for all start-ups and field service in addition to internal test and quality control.
